Why your flip phone won't charge in a Tesla
Tesla's console wireless charger is built around full-size phones. A folded Galaxy Z Flip, Z Fold or Motorola Razr is much shorter, so its charging coil sits below the pad's coils. The phone slides down, shows "charging" for a moment, then stops.

Why won't my Galaxy Z Flip or Z Fold charge on the Tesla wireless charging pad?
Folded, a flip or fold phone is much shorter than a regular phone, so its wireless charging coil ends up below the charging coils in Tesla's phone pad and the phone never starts charging (or keeps dropping the charge). Our adapter sits in the pad and raises the phone so the coils line up and it charges on the factory pad.
Which Tesla phone charging adapter fits my car?
For Model S, Model X, Model Y and the newer (2023+) Model 3, choose Charger Adapter for Z Flip, Motorola Razr, Z Fold — Tesla Model S, X, Y and Newer 3 (2023+). For the older (2022 and earlier) Model 3 wireless pad, choose Charger Adapter for Z Flip, Motorola Razr, Z Fold — Tesla Model S, X, Y and Older 3 (2022-).
